Whibley retains title

Honda Red Rider Paul Whibley retained his number one enduro title over the weekend of 5th/6th May, competing at Riverhead Forest near Auckland. Whibley rode with his usual consistent pace and style to ensure that the overall enduro title which he won last season stayed in his grasp. Riding his CR250, Whibley won the 250cc class and the overall, demonstrating clearly that he is the country’s top talent in cross country and enduro.

Harding takes class title at 4 stroke champs

Honda Red Rider Ben Harding, on board the Bryan Davison prepared XR285, took the class title at the 4 stroke championships held in Hawkes Bay over the weekend. The weather over the two days was atrocious, with constant rain on Saturday and a track which only dried slightly during Sunday.

Race team manager Dave Borlase said: ‘The weather was a disappointment as our Red Riders struggled to get to grips with the condition of the course. The result showed clearly that with our lighter CR450F due later this year we can be confident of a better result at next year’s event’.
