Eventful Weekend At Daytona

After qualifying 11th for the Daytona 200 everything was looking good.

On Race day , the race was red flagged 3 times and had to be re started 4 times due to accidents. All of which happened within 14 laps! Aaron was forced into retirement due to an engine failure on Lap 21. Aaron’s team mate Larry Pegram finished the race in 6th position on what was Aaron’s spare Ducati.

The race strategy was perfect and everything was going to plan, but the engine didn’t seem to like the 4 re-starts that we had! – Aaron Slight

For a brand new team, with new equipment it was always going to be a bit frantic, but the guys in the team were very professional and Team owner Tim Prichard of Competition Accessories has what it takes to create a championship winning team – Aaron Slight.

I would also like to wish Scott (Russell) a quick recovery from what was a very severe accident. – Aaron Slight
