New Plymouth’s Shaun Harris (The Gremlin) will be attending next weekend’s round three of the “Battle of the Streets” series at Paeroa, as the man to beat. Harris on board his stable of Suzukis leads four classes and is first equal in a fifth.

Harris has spent the time since round two of the National Champs, in which he is also leading two classes and second in a third, tuning his Suzuki Superbike. He has done extensive testing at both Manfeild and Pukekohe and is now happy with the machine.

“I have put heaps of laps in over the last few weeks and changed lots of little things, it now feels like it’s mine,” said Harris this week.

Harris’ points lead in five classes, will enable him to be off the front row of the grid, thus allowing him to execute some more of the lightning starts he has become known for in recent times.

“I like to be out front by myself, so I’m racing the track and not other riders,” said Harris.
