Interview With Aaron Slight

AARON SLIGHT: 1) What are you thoughts on possibly joining this team?
Like everything, new things start with apprehension. But now that I’ve been here for the test, my thoughts are very good. It’s a new team, but I think everybody can learn together and become a strong team. And Tim (Pritchard – GM of Competition Accessories) seems to be honest and passionate; he’s not just in this for the buck. These days, too much is just business in the paddock, so it’s good to deal with him.

2) Thoughts on the upcoming race at Daytona and USA
I’m looking forward to it – it’s something different. I’ve been doing World Championships for so long. And the way of life here is so different from where I’ve lived before – Monaco, England, New Zealand, etc – I think it’ll be good. And most of the front runners I’ve seen on the track before.

3) How did the test at Willow Springs go?
The test went very well. I wanted to walk away feeling confident in the motorbike, and I did. It’s just about pushing the envelope now!

4) How was the Ducati?
It’s a very different beast – but it’s great. The balance of this bike is always good. You can ride it anywhere, anytime. And if you get the balance perfect, it’s excellent.
