International rider Damien King, riding a Blue Wing Honda supplied CR250, won the Auckland MotoCross championships at the Pukekohe-Harrisville circuit on 4th February.

Showing excellent form against a class field, King showed the benefits of a comprehensive training regime in his buildup to going back to Europe for the world 500cc MotoCross series.

Castrol Honda racing team manager Dave Borlase said: ‘It’s been great to have Damien with us over the summer. He’s shown the attitude of a true professional, and has been of great benefit in the development of the new Castrol Honda racing team. We wish him well for his return to Europe.
