A Stolli powered Yamaha?, Russia enters WSBK

Russia the home of the Vodka & Lada is about to enter bike racing at the top level.

There is a new track built to GP and WSBK standards as well as car racing standards being built in Moscow.

To build interest in the sport in Russia a pair of R7\'s will be fielded in this years WSBK season with the backing of Yamaha Russia. The Riders are to be Juan Borja and Jean-Marc Deletang.

The team will have backing also from Yamaha France.

Former 500 GP rider Borja, who spent much of his last season with Ducati\'s official works team, said: \"Our goal is to be with the best. The Yamahas worked very well last season, and it is our turn to be there.\"
