Peter Broxholme, Castrol Honda CR125, finished the New Zealand Super Cross Championship on a high note by winning two of the three races at Tokoroa on Saturday 20 January. Broxholme’s success at Tokoroa meant that he finished the championship in second place overall.

Broxholme got the evening race progam off to a perfect start with hole shots in the first two races. Riding with determination and skill he led the field home in the first two races with Nikki Urwin in second.

In the third race Broxholme and Urwin battled it out the whole race with Broxholme having to settle for second. ‘A third win would have made for a perfect evening but it wasn\'t to be’, said Broxholme after the race. Cody Cooper, also on a Castrol Honda CR125, had to work a little harder to break away from the chasing pack. He ended the evening with two thirds and a fourth to finish the Championship in 4th place overall.

Stacey Oldeman, riding the Castrol Honda CR250, put in a solid performance all evening and completes the Championship in third overall.
