MORE BAD LUCK FOR HEPBURN

Timaru’s motorcycle racer John Hepburn suffered another setback to his 2001 season last week.

Hepburn is back in plaster, after aggravating his recently broken ankle while loading a truck at his scrap metal business.

Hepburn, who was left without a ride, when Blue Wing Honda folded up its road racing team before Christmas, had been successful in securing a machine from Suzuki New Zealand.

Hepburn was intending to run his satellite Suzuki Team from his base in Timaru, campaigning a GSXR 750 for the first two rounds of the National Championship and then receive one of the new GSXR1000 for the two North Island rounds.

“This has just not been my year so far. But thing will change.Don\'t count me out, I\'ll be back for the second half of the season,” said Hepburn.

Not being put off by this latest hiccup, Hepburn is also having discussions with Action Motorcycles in Australia for their up-coming season.
