Kawerau’s Tony Rees prepares for Round One of the National Road Race Championships at Teretonga near Invercargill next weekend Jan 20-21.
Following his five wins from five starts at Wanganui’s Cemetery Circuit on Boxing Day, Rees is confident his pair of Yamaha R1s, will continue to give him the edge, he needs to remain in front of his opposition.
Rees did not attend round two of the Battle of the Streets at Gisborne on Jan 2, but instead chose to keep his hand in by competing in the motocross at Whakatane on December 29.
Rees has his sights set on not only, retaining his Open Sports Production Crown which he has held since the class was created five years ago, but capturing the allusive Superbike Crown.
