Track Rebuilt For Mystery Creek SX

Australian Supercross track builder Scott Hoadley has done a complete rebuild of the Mystery Creek Supercross track for the final weekends racing.

Hoadley has designed a new track to make room for the Australian team now joining the Kiwis and Americans in the Tri Nations Challenge. The changes are not just cosmetic, new jumps and studder placements will remove any advantage for the teams who have already competed on the previous track .

Designed to give spectators a stunning close up view of the action, the track rebuild has added more complexity to what was an already very technical track . Riders will have to choose between full throttle berm busting or a well timed squirt through the triple to breakaway.

Expecting more thrills and spills Mystery Creek Events Centre Operations Manager Kevin Lindsay and Motorcycling New Zealand steward Alan Vincent took a look over the track yesterday.

\"This track is wider and safer. This new design allows for more passing opportunities and that should create more excitement for the crowds. Last weekends racing was a closely fought handlebar to handlebar battle, now with another team in the picture the track had to accommodate more riders and for the spectators the new track means only one thing - more air!\" said Lindsay.

Friday nights Tri- Nations Challenge is already attracting a lot of attention with seats selling fast. The Hamilton City sponsored event is the only indoor supercross event in the country and gives New Zealand riders a rare opportunity to hone their supercross skills before the outdoor NZ Supercross Championships in January and February.
