Millions of American sports fans will see next weekends Hamilton City sponsored Mystery Creek Supecross if negotiations currently underway are completed .

Mystery Creek has been negotiating access to US networks ESPN and Fox Sports through an independent US based sports television production company . The event is already scheduled for broadcast on TVNZ\'s Shell Helix Motorsport on December 10 and on Sky Television the week after.

Mystery Creek is producing its own 6 camera television coverage of the event and will provide a complete edited package to the television networks in the US and New Zealand. Mystery Creek Communications Executive Wayne Green will produce and direct the television coverage.

\"The Mystery Creek stadium already hosts a large number of elite sporting events from basketball and netball tests to Davis Cup Tennis. The walk-up, plug-in facilities are ideal for television coverage, television directors view Mystery Creek as one of the best facilities in the country. We could probably do the whole thing live to air if we wanted to\"

Community television channels Mainalnd 7, Triangle Television and FTN will also screen the 30 minute programme.

Cameras will be strategically placed in the stands and on the track to capture the action.

\"We\'ve had to purchase motorcross body armour for the cameraman under the triple jump- a mouthful of motorbike doesn’t taste that nice. We\'re also looking at putting bullet cameras in the jumps themselves, it will give an awesome perspective of the bikes blasting overhead\" said Wayne.

Mystery Creek organisers have already started loading in the 2000 cubic metres of clay needed for track building. Professional track builder Scott Hoadley arrives from Australia on monday to start track construction. Hamilton based heavy equipment hire company Porter Hire have had their ten tonne trucks, diggers and loaders at the Mystery Creek site this week and digital photographs of the track construction are being uploaded onto the events dedicated website www.supercross.co.nz.
