Kawerau’s Tony Rees partnered by Auckland’s Paul Gee and Australian Graeme Morris, finished second overall and first in the Pro-Superbike Class in yesterday’s Australian 6 Hour at Eastern Creek, outside Sydney.
The team had qualified the Bikebiz Pro-Superbike Yamaha R1 fastest on Saturday, with a 1m 35.18 sec lap.
The race was won by Warwick Nowland and Mark Willis on a Suzuki GSXR 750 by two laps (211 laps). Third was Martin Atlee with Michael Dowson and Geoff Hill on another Yamaha R1, two laps (207laps) further behind.
