Kawerau’s Tony Rees returns this weekend to Eastern Creek Raceway outside Sydney, along with 4-Hour partner Auckland’s Paul Gee to race in the Australian 6 Hour.
The New Zealanders will team with Graeme Morris on a Pro- Superbike Yamaha YZF R1 supplied by Bike Biz, the sponsor Rees rode for in the Australian Formula Xtreme Series earlier in the year.
Following the wet Trans Tasman Challenge meeting at Pukekohe last weekend, at which he won the three Open Sports Production races, along with one win and two seconds in Formula Xtreme behind Australian Kevin Curtain also on a Yamaha R1. Rees is very keen to again be racing against Australia’s best.
“It will be great be out there with their top riders and with Paul along I believe we have a very good combination.” Rees said just before leaving today.
