An R1 eater is on the way.

For all the go-fasts out there - there is a R1 eater coming from Suzuki.

Suzuki claims the GSX-R1000 can put out 160 bhp at 11,500rpm in dyno tests. This is a crankshaft figure -at the rear wheel is should equate to about 148bhp .

Yamaha\'s R1 makes around 148 at the crank - and approx 136 bhp at the rear wheel.

The GSX-R is also 5kg lighter than the R1, which should make life interesting.

Yoshi\'s tuners have had a bike for some months and are designing go-even-faster bits and their after market cams the GSX-R is making 163bhp at the crank.

Now with a tuned exhaust can and a race designed computer chip the R1 is going to get a real shock..
