Bulls Run Enduro Sprint Supplementary Rules

Start

Start time. 10.30am

Expert (A) – Start first 20 Minutes 10.31 to 10.50 three per minute.
Numbered 1, 1A, 1B , – 2, 2A ,2B etc three per minute - as per normal.

Intermediate (B) Start next 20 Minutes 10.51 to 11.10
Numbered 20, 20A, 20B, 21, 21A …Etc

Novice/Ladies (C) Start from 11.11

Riders must start on their minute as normal with cold start penalties applying.

First Section

All riders must reach the end of section one before their minute is due or penalties apply as per MNZ rules. Riders are allowed to check through early without penalty and can start section 2 immediately.

The purpose of the first section is to act as a prologue stage and allow the riders to establish their starting order for section 2.

Section 2 – Loops

The riders will be released at 15 second intervals.

The riders are timed on each loop in section 2.

Section 2 is a timed circuit that the riders complete the designated number of circuits as determined by the class thay have entered, before checking through check point 2 or before their check in time (Minute), with the following stipulations.

The course terrain and length will be aiming to achieve an optimum number of laps where it is unlikely that the experts and Intermediate riders would be able to exceed the number of circuits as follows:

• A 4 Loops
• B 3 Loops
• C 2 Loop minimum.

There will be a minimum of three OB checks within the loop at strategic locations. These may be at expert sections after Expert/Intermediate splits.

Scoring section 2

The experts aggregate score will be the total of their four loops plus any penalties and time lost at check point 2 as per MNZ Enduro rules.

The intermediates aggregate score will be their best time multiplied by 2, plus their other two loop times plus any penalties and time lost at check point 2 as per MNZ Enduro rules.

The C grades aggregate score will be their best time multiplied by 3, plus their next best lap plus any penalties and time lost at check point 2 as per MNZ Enduro rules.

Final Section

The final section will be a transport stage with a check at the end. Riders will check in as per MNZ Enduro rules and card will be checked for OB scores. Riders will be able to check through checkpoint 3 early with no penalty. All riders must have their card checked at the checkpoint for OB confirmation. Riders are to be made aware of any missed OBs at the checkpoint. Missed OBs incur the 4000 point penalty. If a rider has lost his card and the OBs cannot be verified an additional penalty of 4000 points will be applied per OB. The riders can check through the final check early with no penalty.
