The twist with this race is that pit time doesn’t count towards race time, so if you have an issue with the bike, or want to spend time recovering between laps, it won’t count towards race time. To that end, the prize money is split, $250 for the fastest single lap (maybe you’ve got one, possibly 2 fast laps in you, you can still take home some $$$) and $500 for the fastest overall race time. Each of the classes has a $50 1st place price, with the exception that the overall and fastest lap winners get the big prizes instead.
