Hampton Downs MotorSport Park have agreed to the following as part of the “Mike Pero Motorfest” on March 3rd & 4th.

“The event will have a festival feel, with high profile racing on two circuits, track time for amateur riders, a moto trials exhibition, freestyle motocross display, a public trail ride on adjacent farmland, ATVs, Harleys, bike clubs, camping, exhibitors, a Saturday night gala dinner and more,” says Marsden.  “We figure this will give the fans a one stop event, where they can see all genres of the sport and participate if they want.”

It is accepted that this is to be a showcase of the best in Moto-trials and the challenges will need to be a crowd-puller if it is to be successful.

The area designated will accommodate 6 to 8 artificial sections. Available material and machinery to construct the course have been sighted. A grassy area has been designated within the Motorsport Park for this 2 day event.

The 2nd March will be available as a practice day with a separate paddock set out with obstacles for practice and bike set up. This will not be open to the public. The section setters will be Andrew Poad and Philip Shilton with the assistance of Hampton Downs trackstaff.

An early reply is essential. For entering will be forwarded to Invited riders:
Travel expenses will be $1 per Km but capped at $500 per rider. Effectively Wellington region at around $400. Prize money is to be finalised. We were given a ball park figure of $3000 Total.
